Acquaintance Party

What is an Acquaintance Party? When I was in college, in was never a big deal for me. It was just an event, where people get together and dress up to impress. I attended the acquaintance party for extra points or attendance check.

But now, I am an instructor myself, I find myself in the shoes of my teachers before where they really require the attendance for extra points. And the tradition of welcoming the first year students of the college. I understand how important the participation of the students in this event. Otherwise, it would not be such fun.

It was my first time to be able to enjoy the party. After I performed a song number together with my 2 teachers, it shows that students admire teachers. They want to see the other side of us aside from rattling inside the classroom. It was an overwhelming experience to see their happy faces as we did the number.

Now I understand that students need that party because they cannot get wild when they re in the classroom. It was their time and I was so happy to see them enjoy.

I am looking forward to the next acquaintance party and give the students the break they really need. Ad for me, to also enjoy it, I need to part of it. Til next year's acquaintance party. Welcome first years!
